Esther Brown is a talented full time multi disciplinary artist, working across mediums in acrylics, oils, drawing and collage. She completed her BA (Hons) in Fine Art in 2014 and was later that year awarded 1st Prize for her drawings during a regional exhibition in Surrey. During that year she was also shortlisted in the top 10 for the prestigious nationwide Hermione Hammond Drawing Prize. She has employed her skill of extremely accurate and detailed drawing in a number of ways, including as a print designer in fashion house Alexander McQueen.
Esther is British/South African by birth and was born and raised in Japan. Before establishing her practice in the UK, she travelled extensively for charitable purposes and has worked among victims of human trafficking in Cambodia and South Africa. Throughout her travels, Esther has always gleaned inspiration for her art, which makes her paintings a unique juxtaposition of east and west, with nature always as the prime subject.
Esther is currently settled in the UK and her work can be seen in a variety of exhibitions, art fairs and in galleries across the nation. Keep up to date with her latest movements by subscribing to her newsletter.
